Mexican Fiesta:

An event celebrating AlliancExchange and EcoLogic

AlliancExchange has been partnering with EcoLogic for the past four years to promote both organizations’ programs. Working together, each organization learns from one another and expands its impact in local communities.

A group of 20 close supporters of both EcoLogic and AlliancExchange gathered at José’s Mexican Restaurant in Cambridge on December 1, 2011, to participate in, socialize, and learn more about each organization. Jose’s provided a wonderful dinner. Attendees were a mix of donors and friends from either EcoLogic and/or AlliancExchange.

A raffle was prominently promoted throughout the evening. Each attendee purchased at least ten raffle tickets and was given the opportunity to win one of four raffle items.

We are grateful for our partnership with EcoLogic and the work we have been able to do together. The evening was a success and we were able to raise about $800 for both organizations.

AlliancExchange provides rainforest children with educational opportunities thus preparing the next generation for their work—to be stewards of their Kishwa culture and their Amazonian rainforest environment.

EcoLogic works with communities to foster sustainable livelihoods and protect biodiversity. We aim to conserve unique landscapes in Central America and Mexico by putting poor, rural communities in charge of managing local natural resources.
